COLOR THEORY AND GOLDEN RATIO

Hey Steve!

For this project, we were to study the relationship between complimentary colors and create a design that integrated them, while keeping the golden ratio in mind.

I didn't know what to draw so I just stared at my website until I came up with something. I stared at the header, which is waves, and thought about drawing a surfer. So I did! I doodled him on my sketchbook, scanned the drawing, and then colored it in on Photoshop.

The first color combinations were yellow, blue, and red.

After, was orange, green, and purple. This one unintentionally ended up looking a lot like the Hulk.

I applied the golden ratio to the design and it fit somewhat perfectly.

Then, we had to make a design using complimentary colors. My favorite are yellow and blue, so I made a wallpaper for my iPhone with the little surfer.
